An initiative of San Mar Family and Community Services, Bester Community of Hope is a Community Quarterback whose mission is “cultivating hope and well-being in children, families and communities” within the South End of Hagerstown. The Partnership Collaborative consists of strong community institutions including but not limited to the City of Hagerstown, South End Community Schools, Washington County Community Action Council, Western Maryland Consortium, Potomac Community Services, Washington County Department of Social Services, Local Management Board of Washington County, and many others. Building off collaborative work since 2015, the Partnership will implement projects across all four ENOUGH Focus Areas including but not limited to a benefits cliff family subsidy pilot, youth financial literacy, substance use services, resource navigation, and housing services.
