The Children’s Cabinet Interagency Fund (the Fund)
History of the Children’s Cabinet Interagency Fund: Budget language was passed in 1990 permitting use of State funds allocated for out-of-home placement prevention services. The Children’s Cabinet Interagency Fund (the Fund) remains within the Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE) budget. MSDE continues to be the fiscal agent for the Fund to this day. As fiscal agent for the Fund, MSDE receives direction from GOC, which has served as the Fund’s administrator on behalf of the Children’s Cabinet since its inception and continues in that capacity.
The FY07 appropriation for the Fund is $49,571,618 and supports LMB administration and local programming:
