Policy Analyst – Education Focus

This position requires proficiency across the spectrum of social policy, education, human services, data collection and analysis, and the local service delivery system. The position requires knowledge and skill in applying analytical and evaluative techniques to the identification and resolution of public policy issues, including in-depth research, analysis, communication, project planning and coordination, and monitoring. Preferred qualifications include:

  • Five to seven years professional experience in policy development and analysis, research, cost benefit analysis, or statistical analysis; a particular focus on education policy a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, including coursework in education, political science, public policy, sociology, social work, psychology, or a related field.

Communications and Grants Specialist

This position requires proficiency in breaking down complex issues and communicating them effectively, in depth knowledge of and fluency in social media (including basics of blogging, general online publishing best practices, social networks, etc.), and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously. Preferred qualifications include:

  • Three to five years professional experience in communications and grant writing as well as outstanding editing skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, including coursework in communications, political science, public policy, sociology, social work, psychology, or a related field.

This position requires proficiency across the spectrum of public policy and administration, including in-depth research, analysis, communication, and project planning and coordination. Preferred qualifications: possession of a Bachelor’s degree in public affairs, public policy, public management or related field; and 4+ years of experience working within the state legislative process.
